Start by double-clicking the SDNP short-cut (if there is one) or by going to 'My Computer', 'Dialup Networking' and then to the SDNP icon.
When the dialog box comes up make sure the phone number is correct (you can change it) and click connect. Do not worry about the user name and password on this screen as these are not used.
If all goes well you modem should dial and after a short delay you should get a black (terminal) window saying 'Username:'. Type your username and press ENTER. Then you should see 'Password:'. Type your password and press ENTER again. You should get a message on the black screen indicating you are connected and then click 'Continue' or press F7 after a second or two. A pop up window will tell you when the connection is complete.
If you have a problem read the above again carefully and make sure you did not miss something.
No black (terminal) window comes up - the line may be busy. Try again. The sounds made by the modem will tell you what is happening.
If the black window is blank just wait a minute for another prompt.
